In 2017 KAGE celebrates our 20th Birthday.
From two dance graduates, hungry to challenge the status quo and with a simple desire to create work which was entertaining, funny, challenging and irreverent, we are proud to have:
- Created more than 20 new works (3 selected to be on the VCE playlist)
- Toured to more than 80 venues
- Employed over 226 diverse artists
- Mentored 37 emerging performers
While 2017 might be our most challenging year to date as we proceed without recurrent Government funding, our vision for 2017 is 20/20. We are super excited about our 20th Anniversary program which includes:
- The world premiere of Out Of Earshot
- Touring Picnic to Sale, Bayswater, Tuggeranong and Shepparton
- Creative development of Caught In The Middle
The theme “20/20” also represents a 20 day long fundraising campaign with a target of $20,000, to celebrate the 20 years of KAGE’s contribution to Australian arts landscape.
As a special birthday bonus if we raise $10,000 Gandel Philanthropy will match your donation. And if we raise $20,000 by May 19, Creative Partnerships Australia will match it again!
